With another federal election behind us it was good to see a former high school colleague, David Bradbury win a place in Parliament House.
David was always a model student and someone to look up to. His hard work is now paying massive dividends – first as a lawyer and now a member of parliament for the seat of Lindsay in outer Sydney. I’ll hold off on the professional liar jokes ;-).
Let’s hope David becomes a model MP and helps spend our money more wisely than previous western Sydney pollies. Well done David!
On the election in general, as much as I despise the undemocratic, bureaucratic, bi-partisan and incompetent Labor–Liberal duopoly that is Australian federal politics, at the very least it was good to see a change of the guard.
Perhaps that’s the formula for better federal politics – less support for incumbent “leaders” and more seismic-scale shifts in voter support towards the opposition, and the minor parties, at every election.
