Okay, so everyone knows that Google opened its doors to the media in Sydney last week, labelling the occasion as the “official” openining of Googleplex Sydney.
Sure I was there but the stuff about Google Maps was old news.
However, the most interesting part of the tour was the Google food. It tasted like Google – nice on the outside but far too sweet to be wholesome. I think I felt keywords jumping around in my stomach for at least 24 hours after eating Google food. I may well be searchable now. I’ve lost my innocence. Perhaps there’s a food API for Google Maps (finally, we’re on the map) that will locate any tasty morsel served by Google.
There’s an idea for a new service – Google Foodle. Locate the best tasting food on the planet – be it in a restaurant or in someone’s house.
I think I’ll keep searching.

“nice on the outside but far too sweet to be wholesome” ? Not sure what sites you visit but the Google UI is far from nice on the outside. It’s the content it serves up that makes it useful. In fact, I think your analogy is completely inside-out. That cake does look weird though.
